In the information glut of the internet, my voice rings forth like a penny dropped from a very small Empire State Building.
Writer, teacher, and grad student presently living in Florida and working on my PhD.
I hold a Bacheolor's degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida, and an MA in English from Boston College. I am currently working towards my PhD at the University of South Florida
In addition to school I'm writing short fiction and shopping around my horror novel Hallowed
Examples of my short fiction can be found in the Stoker Award winning anthology Unspeakable Horror: From the Shadows of the Closet from Dark Scribe Press, Escape Clause from Ink Oink Art Inc and the forthcoming Holy Horrors edited by Matt Cardin and T.M. Wright.
I have lived in the U.S. England, and Ireland. I have an unhealthy romantic relationship with the American South, particularly the bits of Florida that whistle Dixie, and the Gulf Coast. That's pretty much it for now . . .
Oh and I have a cat.
My present journal artwork by the most lovely and talented

'God save us always,' I said 'from the innocent and the good.'
-Graham Greene The Quiet American
...that country where it is always turning late in the year. That country where the hills are fog and the rivers are mist; where noons go quickly, dusks and twilights linger, and midnights stay. That country composed in the main of cellars, sub-cellars, coal-bins, closets, attics, and pantries faced away from the sun. That country whose people are autumn people, thinking only autumn thoughts. Whose people passing at night on the empty walks sound like rain.
-Ray Bradbury "October Country"
None of this can actually be happening. If it makes you more comfortable, you could simply think if it as metaphor. Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you - even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celesteal being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers and triumphs overall opposition.
Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world.
So none of this is happening. Such things could not occur. Never a word of it is literally true. Even so, the next thing that happened, happened like this:
-Neil Gaiman, American Gods
